Windows Libraries
Section titled “Windows Libraries”Learn how to add, organize, and manage media libraries on your Windows Plex server.
Creating Libraries
Section titled “Creating Libraries”- Open Plex Web:
http://localhost:32400/web - Click + next to “Libraries” in the sidebar
- Select library type (Movies, TV Shows, Music, Photos)
- Name your library
- Add folder paths
- Configure scanner options
- Click Add Library
Library Types
Section titled “Library Types”Movies
Section titled “Movies”- One movie per folder recommended
- Naming:
Movie Name (Year)/Movie Name (Year).ext - Supports: Collections, reviews, trailers
TV Shows
Section titled “TV Shows”- Organized by series/season folders
- Naming:
Show Name/Season XX/Show Name - SXXEXX - Episode Title.ext - Supports: Season posters, episode ordering
- Artist/Album folder structure
- Metadata from file tags and MusicBrainz
- Supports: Lyrics, album reviews
Photos
